Consignment Terms

Commission
- Guitars on Main will take a commission of 30% on all consigned items.

Online Sales and Shipping
- If the consigned item sells online, the shipping costs will be split equally between Guitars on Main and the consignor.

Setup or Repairs Discount
- Should the consigned item require setup or repairs to be market-ready, Guitars on Main will provide the labor at a 25% discount off the normal shop rate. The consignor will be notified and must approve the work before any setup or repairs are performed.

Cancellation Fee
- Cancellation Fee: A cancellation fee of $25.00 per item will be charged to cover processing costs such as ad copy and photos.
- Potential Quick Sale Offer: If a consignor wishes to cancel the consignment, Guitars on Main may make an offer for a quick sale at a reduced price to expedite the process and potentially avoid the cancellation fee.

Payout Schedule
- Funds Clearance: Allow a minimum of 10 days after the sale to ensure all payments have cleared and any return periods have passed.
- Monthly Payout: Payouts to consignors will be processed on the 15th of each month. This ensures that all sales from the previous month have had sufficient time for payments to clear.
- Payment Methods: Consignors can choose to receive their payout via check, bank transfer, or store credit.

Consignor Portal
- Once a customer consigns with us, they will receive an invitation via email to set up their consignor portal. Through the consignor portal, customers can monitor the status of their consigned items, track sales progress, and view payout details in real-time. This portal provides a transparent and convenient way for consignors to stay informed about their items and manage their consignment account.

Prior Agreements
- Any prior agreements made before May 22, 2024, will override these general consignment terms. These terms will primarily apply to new clients from this point forward.

- By consigning an item with Guitars on Main, the consignor agrees to these terms and conditions unless otherwise stated in a prior written agreement.
