Ibanez AR100 1981

Ibanez AR100 Artist 1979 - 1984 Cherry Sunburst

The AR100 was Ibanez's answer to the carved-top, dual-humbucker market in the late 1970s and early 1980s, and these early Artist series guitars have earned a serious reputation among players who've spent time with them. Built during what many consider the peak of Japanese craftsmanship at Ibanez, the AR100 features a carved maple top, mahogany body, and a set mahogany neck — a recipe that delivers the kind of warm, resonant tone these guitars are known for.

This one is in good overall condition with honest players wear consistent with its age. It plays and sounds like what it is: a well-built instrument that has been used and enjoyed.

The bridge pickup has been replaced with a Gibson 500T humbucker, giving the upper register a bit more output and bite than stock. The neck pickup is original.

A great option for the player who wants a quality vintage Japanese guitar without vintage Japanese guitar pricing — the AR100 punches well above its weight class and always has.
