The TPS II is a high-performance, two-channel preamplifier equipped with ART's proprietary V3 (Variable Valve Voicing) technology. Building on the success of its predecessor, the DPS, the improved V3 functionality provides optimized reference points for recording various instruments such as guitars, bass guitars, synths, acoustic instruments, percussion, and vocals. Unique in its class, the TPS II offers level monitoring through two analog meters, along with newly added input monitoring LED meters. Both high-Z instruments and balanced microphone signals can be connected via front and rear panel jacks.

The enhanced TPS II can handle +20 dB peaks while maintaining a dynamic range of over 120 dB, ensuring quiet performance with incredibly low distortion. ART's legendary tube stage preserves the classic "warm sound" and adds specific tube voicing for vocals, guitars, bass, and acoustic instruments, making the TPS II an excellent DI box. The unit also includes the OPL (Output Protection Limiting) feature to manage overshoots and normalize levels before clipping occurs.
