Epiphone Futura RD Custom, Midnight Ember Shift

The RD has always been one of the more unusual shapes in the Gibson family, and Epiphone's Futura Series brings it back with a genuinely modern build. This one wears a Chromashift Midnight Ember gloss finish, a paint job that shifts color depending on the light and the angle you're looking from, over a mahogany body and matching mahogany neck.

A pair of Epiphone's new ProBucker Ignite humbuckers handle the tone, and they're wired with push/pull controls for coil splitting and phase switching, so there's more range on tap than you'd expect from a straightforward two-humbucker guitar. Stainless steel frets, a compound radius ebony fretboard, and locking Grover Rotomatic tuners round out a build that's meant to hold up to regular gigging.
