A small-bodied acoustic with a rich, full voice

Gibson helped shape the early small-body acoustic market in the early 1900s with its L-Series guitars. Introduced in the early 1930s, the Gibson L-00 went on to become one of the most respected small-bodied acoustics ever made. These compact Gibsons are known for a tone that Gibson described in its 1934 catalog as having “perfect balance.” Often called parlor guitars because they were commonly played in the sitting rooms or parlors of homes, L-Series models have remained popular for generations.

The Epiphone L-00 Standard brings that classic design and sound within reach. Created by Team Epiphone in partnership with Gibson Acoustic, it honors the spirit of those early Gibson originals while offering impressive tone and playability at an affordable price. Built with all-solid tonewoods, the L-00 Standard is designed to sound even better as it ages. Its solid mahogany back and sides are paired with a solid spruce top for a balanced, expressive voice that works beautifully for both strumming and fingerstyle playing. It is especially well suited for country, folk, blues, Americana, and related styles.

The one-piece mahogany neck has a comfortable Rounded C profile and is joined to the body with a glued-in tapered dovetail joint. The fretboard features 19 standard frets and simple mother-of-pearl dot inlays. The guitar also features the popular 60s Kalamazoo-style headstock, fitted with a bone nut and Grover Mini Rotomatic tuners for dependable tuning stability. A rectangular rosewood bridge, bone saddle, and ivory plastic bridge pins complete the classic look and feel.

For plugged-in performance, the L-00 Standard is equipped with Fishman electronics, including an S-Core under-saddle pickup and a Fishman Presys VT preamp. The discreet soundhole-mounted volume and tone controls are easy for the player to reach while staying nearly invisible to the audience. An Epiphone premium gig bag is also included for protection and easy transport.
