Epiphone’s connection with Les Paul reaches back to 1940, when he built one of the first solidbody electric guitars while working nights at Epiphone’s original Manhattan factory. That early instrument, nicknamed “the Log,” helped inspire what would become the Les Paul Standard, a model many players still consider the gold standard of electric guitars.

The Epiphone Les Paul Standard 60s brings the classic recipe to life with a mahogany body and a maple cap for the thick, singing sustain and clarity Les Pauls are famous for. The mahogany neck features a fast SlimTaper 60s C profile and is topped with a rosewood fretboard with pearloid trapezoid inlays and 22 medium jumbo frets.

At the headstock, the 60s style Kalamazoo design is fitted with Grover Rotomatic tuners and a Graph Tech nut for dependable tuning stability, so you can focus on playing instead of constantly reaching for the tuner.

Electronics come from Epiphone’s well loved ProBucker pickups, with a ProBucker 2 in the neck for warm, articulate tones and a slightly hotter ProBucker 3 in the bridge for extra bite and punch. Each pickup has its own volume and tone controls using CTS potentiometers, giving you a wide range of usable sounds and easy control on the fly.
