Very few guitars carry the myth and mojo of the 1958 to 1960 Gibson Les Paul Standards. Known for stunning looks, effortless feel, and huge tone, those vintage originals are some of the most prized guitars in the world. You’ve seen them on major stages and heard them on countless classic recordings. The Epiphone Les Paul Standard 60s Figured brings that spirit to life as an Inspired by Gibson tribute, built to capture the feel and sound of the era.

Epiphone’s connection with Les Paul goes back to 1940, when he built one of the earliest solidbody electrics while working nights at Epiphone’s original Manhattan factory. That first guitar, famously called “the Log,” helped lead to the Les Paul Standard, a model many players still call the greatest electric guitar ever made.

This 60s Figured model pairs a mahogany body with a maple cap, topped with a beautifully figured maple veneer. You get the thick midrange punch of mahogany with the added snap and clarity that maple brings, which is a big part of the Les Paul voice. The figured veneer adds that vintage Burst style look without the boutique price tag.

The mahogany neck features a quick SlimTaper 60s C profile and a long neck tenon for stability and extra sustain. The rosewood fretboard is dressed with pearloid trapezoid inlays and 22 medium jumbo frets. Up top, the 60s Kalamazoo headstock carries Grover Rotomatic tuners and a Graph Tech nut to keep tuning steady. Down at the bridge, an Epiphone LockTone Tune O Matic and LockTone Stop Bar tailpiece help lock in intonation and transfer string energy for a solid, resonant feel.

For pickups, you get a pair of Epiphone ProBucker humbuckers, with a ProBucker 2 in the neck and a slightly hotter ProBucker 3 in the bridge. It’s a balanced setup that delivers warm cleans, singing leads, and punchy rhythm tones across all three switch positions. Each pickup has its own volume and tone control with CTS pots, finished off with gold Top Hat knobs and dial pointers. A premium gig bag is included, too.
