The "Best of Both Worlds" Workhorse

The 2015 Gibson Les Paul Studio was a year of bold innovation, but it was also a year of some controversial tech. This specific guitar has been upgraded to strip away the "experiments" and leave you with a rock-solid, high-performance Les Paul. By replacing the polarizing G-Force system and the original brass nut, this Studio now offers the reliability of a custom-shop build with the versatile electronics of the 100th-anniversary run.

The "Pro-Player" Upgrades

Most 2015 Gibsons struggle with tuning stability due to the factory robot-tuners and the soft brass nut. This guitar has been "fixed" for the stage:

  • Upgraded Locking Tuners: The heavy, automatic G-Force system is gone. In its place are premium locking tuners that provide rock-solid stability, faster string changes, and a more traditional headstock balance.

  • New Adjustable Nut: The original brass nuts were prone to premature wear and "pinging." This has been upgraded to the newer, improved Adjustable Zero-Fret Nut, allowing for perfect intonation and a customizable action height at the first fret.

Iconic Tone & Modern Versatility

Underneath the upgrades, this is a pure Gibson powerhouse:

  • The Pickups: Loaded with '57 Classic (Neck) and '57 Classic Plus (Bridge) humbuckers. These are Gibson’s gold standard for vintage PAF tone—creamy, rich, and capable of legendary growl.

  • Coil-Tapping: Both volume pots are push/pull, allowing you to tap the coils for snappy, single-coil "Strat-style" tones.

  • Comfort: Features modern weight relief, making it comfortable for long sets while maintaining the sustain you expect from a mahogany body and figured maple top.
