Hagstrom Fantomen Custom Electric Guitar

The Hagstrom Fantomen Custom takes the unmistakable shape developed with the Swedish band Ghost and gives it a premium neck through build, upgraded hardware, stainless steel frets, and a pair of versatile Lundgren Design humbuckers.

Its bold asymmetrical body looks built for the stage, but the Fantomen Custom offers much more than dramatic styling. The thin body, sculpted lower cutaway, slim neck, and 25.5 inch scale create a comfortable guitar with easy access across all 22 frets.

Neck Through Maple and Mahogany Construction

A three piece Canadian maple neck runs through the center of the guitar, joined by mahogany body wings. This combination gives the Fantomen Custom a strong fundamental voice with plenty of sustain, definition, and attack.

The slim D shaped neck is reinforced by Hagstrom’s H Expander truss rod. A supportive volute adds strength behind the reversed headstock, while the ebony fingerboard provides a smooth playing surface and a clear, immediate response.

Glow in the dark side markers make the fret positions easier to see on dimly lit stages. The 22 medium jumbo stainless steel frets offer a smooth feel for bends and vibrato while providing greater resistance to long term fret wear.

Lundgren Design Humbuckers

The Fantomen Custom is equipped with a Lundgren Design Alnico 2 No. 2 humbucker in the neck position and an Alnico 5 No. 5 humbucker at the bridge.

The neck pickup delivers a warm and expressive voice that works well for clean passages, melodic leads, and fuller rhythm tones. The bridge pickup adds a stronger attack and tighter low end for hard rock, metal, and other higher gain styles.

Each pickup can be split using its corresponding push pull tone control. This gives the Fantomen Custom access to brighter, more focused sounds in addition to its full humbucker tones.

Two volume controls with R/C circuits help retain clarity as the volume is lowered. A traditional three way toggle switch makes it easy to move between the two pickups or combine them.

Premium Stage Ready Hardware

GraphTech Ratio locking tuners provide precise tuning adjustments and make string changes faster. A GraphTech Black Tusq XL nut helps the strings move smoothly and return to pitch.

The Gotoh 510 Tune O Matic bridge and matching stop tailpiece provide a solid connection between the strings and body. Gotoh locking strap buttons are also installed for added security during live performances.

Designed With Ghost

The Fantomen was developed through a collaboration between Hagstrom and Ghost. The Custom version takes that design further with a neck through maple and mahogany body, ebony fingerboard, stainless steel frets, locking tuners, premium Gotoh hardware, and glow in the dark side markers.

It is a distinctive instrument for Ghost fans, but its appeal reaches well beyond its artist connection. The Fantomen Custom is a serious professional guitar with the tonal range and playability to handle classic rock, hard rock, metal, progressive music, and clean atmospheric playing.
