Made in Japan for C.F. Martin & Co. Circa 1980

For players who love the look and feel of a Martin D-35 but do not want to step into vintage Martin pricing, this Sigma DR-35 is a very appealing find. Built in Japan for C.F. Martin & Co., this dreadnought captures the classic D-35 inspired style with a 3 piece rosewood back, multi-ply binding, and a bold acoustic voice.

This example appears to feature a solid spruce top, which has aged to a warm honey color over the years. Paired with the 3 piece rosewood back and sides, it delivers the full low end, clear projection, and strong strumming response players expect from a good dreadnought.

The guitar has been cleaned, inspected, and set up here at Guitars on Main. It has a comfortable C shaped neck profile, bound fingerboard, original Sigma-branded closed gear tuners, and a clear glossy finish that presents very well for its age.

The bridge is tight to the top, and the guitar is structurally solid. Overall, this is a clean, good playing Japanese-made Sigma DR-35 with the right features and plenty of vintage appeal.

Very good overall condition for its age. The finish shows light signs of use but remains glossy and attractive.
