This is my second guitar I have brought to Steve and Guitars on Main. The first time was perfect. I am mostly satisfied with the second one. The set up is absolutely perfect. The frets are much better than they were make no mistake about that, but there is still a little more fret spraut I wish wasn’t there. However it’s possible that was as much as could be done. Overall I’m happy and will bring more in the future.

We’re glad to hear the setup itself hit the mark and that the frets are noticeably improved. Fret end dressing is typically an add-on service, although Steve often does some complimentary smoothing when needed as part of his normal workflow. In your case, it sounds like there’s still a bit more comfort to be gained.

The guitar tech Steve is Awesome!!

Awesome set up! Real quality workmanship in regards to premium set up, rewire and new pickup installation. With that being said, after dropping a little over $600.00 for the work that Steve did, I found a note on my receipt, recommending what brand of guitar I should buy because the ones I brought in require a tremendous amount of work!! I really didn't appreciate that after dropping that kind of cash! I didn't mind paying for Steve's amazing workmanship, but I could've done without Bob's note on my receipt. I was so pissed off after reading that on the receipt, that I didn't even want to test out the guitar in the store.

Guitar Setup

Once again, Guitars on Main knocked it out of the park. Steve did an awesome job on my Fender Strat. He takes the time to actually listen to you and understand exactly what you want. He then offers suggestions along with the pros and cons of each. I had locking tuners and a bone nut put on, as well as, some fret sprout taken care of. My guitar looks, feels, and plays awesome. These guys are the best around. Do yourself a favor and let them work their magic on your guitar, you won't regret it.
